The Signals That Migration Is Necessary
Nobody looks forward to doing a migration right I don't know of any engineers myself very much included. It is something that is hard to get by and for executives because you're essentially going to be considerably slowing down the velocity of your team during this timeframe. So what signals point to it really are about is there an order of magnitude improvement available since the system that you are currently working on was created. That could be because we went from having at one point an on premise terradatous server that sat in a big server room to moving to cloud based data warehouses like BigQuery or Snowflake.
