"We were very meticulous, we never sold one grape, not one Asian pear, not one persimmon, not one Alberta peach that had a taint of herbicide on it," he says. "If you went to Monterey or Santa Cruz knows what you bought from us, it was organic, we're very careful about." He adds: "But boy, it was so much more expensive and so much time consuming".
