Is It a Good Idea to Have a Research-Based Approach to Product Development?

Play testing is an internal employee test of something before releasing it publicly. It doesn't completely stand in for research, but it is useful to have and stit if research isn't available. Even when we are diving deep into a project, we don't do as much research as a company like ober would do. We don't have those resources. And so i think that it's great for a designer to got to work, you know, based on assumptions, and get that envy pemo done, or work with the research as well. I think that's like a good, well rounded skill set to have.
