paul krishanu: People think that i think the technical problems of alignment are like super duper hard for some reason uh this is basically not the case. He says there's been a few dozen people working on these things for not terribly long and they've come up empty empty empty handed. Paul believes we need to fund scientists who can't get funding because if you do then incentives will distort their work.
