How Should You Train for a Trail Race?

No matter what kind of trail event that you're getting ready for, you're probably going to be running a slower pace than if you are running on the road. If you're training for a trail half marathon or a trail marathon, it's probably a good idea to focus a little bit more on time rather than distance. Strength training is going to help protect you from all that extra time on your feet and the technicality of the terrain itself.
