Powley's Invasion of La Madelena
In early 17 93, the revolutionary government ordered powley to join the war effort. Powley's mission was to invade the island of sardinia, which is just south of corsica. The orders called for ten thousand men to strike at la madelna, an island in the straits between sardinia andcorsica. La madelena has a good natural harbor.
