The Health Benefits of Telehealth Services for Medicare Beneficiaries With Opioid Use Disorder
Study: Telehealth services were linked to a lower risk of fatal overdoses for Medicare beneficiaries with opioid use disorder. Researchers studied two groups of fee-for-service Medicare beneficiaries starting an opioid use disorder episode of care. All cause mortality and drug overdose deaths were higher in the pandemic cohort compared with the pre-pandemic group.
