The astrology of December opens with the second half of a troublesome Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius, plus a contentious Mars retrograde period beginning in Leo. The middle of the month features some favorable aspects, such as Mercury stationing direct, and an auspicious trine between Venus and Jupiter. December ends with major tensions building, as Mars and Pluto move into a difficult opposition, which will culminate at the very beginning of January.
