The Legend of the Wright Brothers
Orville and Wilbur Wright were brothers, obviously, a pair of American aviation pioneers. They are widely recognized as being the first people to stage the first controlled and sustained flight with a powered manned heavier than aircraft. But there is very little hard evidence to support Whitehead's claims, but from a technical standpoint, Whitehead did seem to know what he was doing with the machines that he built. So ultimately, it is the Wright brothers who have walked away with the lion chair of the glory when it comes to flight.
