Polarization is the natural, more or less unchanging thing. We're all moss to a flame on it, because we feel it. The sixties and seventies are a low ebb of party polarization in this country. And i guess am affectov polarization fits in. Well, it sounds like that does make things worse, but it's not central to your model. Iwe ouknow, you could do multi party systems. But they're all some version of radically changing
