The Problem Is Not Polarization
Polarization is the natural, more or less unchanging thing. We're all moss to a flame on it, because we feel it. The sixties and seventies are a low ebb of party polarization in this country. It's a crazy period in mid century american politics, but it is not sorted by party. So we have sorded by which sordid parties and polarized parties can resolve a disagreement. But they're all some version of radically changing
