Polarization is the natural, more or less unchanging thing. We're all moss to a flame on it, because we feel it. The sixties and seventies are a low ebb of party polarization in this country. It's a crazy period in mid century american politics, but it is not sorted by party. So we have sorded by which sordid parties and polarized parties can resolve a disagreement. And i guess am affectov polarization fits in. Well, it sounds like that does make things worse, but it's not central to your model. Iwe ouknow, you could do multi party systems. But they're all some version of radically changing
