The Legend of Pythagoras

Not much is known about pythagoras life. Scholars disagree over what exactly can be attributed to him. He founded a school in southern italy, where initiates were sworn to secrecy and lived a communal, ascetic life style. There were religious recals, dietary restrictions, living restrictions, vows of silence. Some other discoveries, irrational numbers on metopsychosis, seems to be more foundation to attribute that to him than anything else. Ah, there was this mystical figure ten thing, the tetratis. Heraclitus called him a charlatan. And he called himself a philosopher, and was perhaps the first person, ohave used that term about himself.
