Are You Considering Transferring a Child to a Tertiary Care Center?
The indications for admission to an ICU or transfer to a tertiary care center. There have been huge stresses on resources for pediatric patients. We really need to think carefully about which kids need to be transferred and which kids need hospitalization. If the child has comorbidities, unless they have clearly very mild disease, we should be very careful as well. And I think that that's a huge barometer really in terms of the need for admission.
