The Negative Effects of Climate Change
We don't know for sure that we haven't already triggered some catastrophic step change in the climate. The fossil fuel lobby will allow policymakers to say and do anything they like as long as it doesn't stand a realistic chance of inhibiting rate of which fossil fuel is taken out of ground. What we need is to interrupt the dynamics of climate change at the global system level. Somehow we need a way of leaving the world's fossil fuel in the ground. I'm open to offers about the best mechanism, but the simple mechanism that would work better than all the others are a carbon price.
