This devastating quake seems to have led to a lot of criticism of Erdogan. Some seem to be now pinning the blame on building standards, which were either too lax or developers who had illegally built substandard buildings. The economy has been just in dire straits for the last five years because many of his economic policies. So there's already a huge sense that he was in trouble. Now with this devastating earthquake and a lot of really growing political, not even anger, I think you could say rage at him.
