In Marxist theory of history, there is a certain inevitability to socialism after capitalism. I'd be more than happy in my vision of socialism for there to be capitalist parties getting 3-4% of the vote. No one's going to support a monarchist party in the US in serious numbers. In Europe or elsewhere? Although that's gaining popularity.
