How to Survive in a Language Hacking Community
The bar for survival English is actually about what I would say a little bit more than your deck. Even the US government agrees that it's like, you know, if somebody speaking to you very slowly and deliberately using body language, you can communicate. And I definitely see in the refold community people who are afraid to output, we call it output anxiety. These are people who put in thousands of hours of the language and then they don't actually speak with a native speaker.
