The Exodus Motives
Prophecy would have been a source of great encouragement to the people rebuilding the temple. It ends with a declaration that the lord has roused himself from his holy dwelling. He is about to act in the earth, to shake up the nations and to act on behalf of his people. The association with elijah can be seen back at the end of malachi,. That promise that elijah will come before that great day of jesus comes to pass.
