Is Credit Score a Good Thing?
Sothi: Credit scoring makes things better in the sense that you can try to screen out for race and porgender. These are things that definitely hurt minorities and women during the ninte seventis now earlier, before credit scoring becomes pervasive. Sothi this is a good thing, so its more equal. In that sense, it's not so great, because even though we have ways of screening out these very explicit variables that we see as discriminatory, they still sometimes show up where they could show up on statistical scamples.
