The Total Eclipse of Mahart
Steinman had been refining and reusing an irresistible melody for multiple projects over a decade. Steinman finally turned this melody, culminating in the lyric Turn Around Bright Eyes into a complete song that he bequeathed to Bonnie Tyler. They recorded it with many of Steinman's favorite players from the bat out of hell sessions: pianist Roy Bitten and drummer Max Weinberg from Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.
