I don't know if it will turn out that two nuclear nations will never end up going to war. I do know that it brought a significant degree of calm to the india pakistan conflict. But i very much doubt that such an arrangement would end being perpetually stable. The final equilibrium point we could end up in is not particularly stable at all, but neither does it represent the end of the world as people commonly imagine.
