The Rise and Fall of Single People in Britain

Since the middle of last century, we have seen a continuous increase in the number of single people living here in the UK. That's people who are not married or not cohabiting or not in a long-term relationship. We now have roughly a quarter of the UK population or in single households. There is a huge minority, which are singers and they have their own needs, some are discriminated against. It's more expensive to live singly by quite a long margin. I'm Antedine, and for this edition of Analysis, I'm looking at whether life in Britain is stacked against single people.
