Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery: A Significant Change in the Church
Joseph Smith makes a significant change, which elevates his authority in the church to be unmatched until 1835. Both Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery were referred to as elders in the church. And so here Joseph is basically stating, I'm the top gun, Oliver's, you know, my second in command. This all happens after Oliver Cowderies angelic visitation in 1834.
