How to Be an Editor in Academic Publishing

The actual process of being an editor is in a lot of ways quite different from any of the other things that you do. You have to sort of park your prejudices at the door and really be willing to be told what other experts think of what you're doing. And fortunately, turned out something I enjoy doing, but it's definitely somewhat different from other kinds of activities you do around science.
