Anderson y your was a great veller, and he made a point of visiting cultures as far different from europe and from switzerland as possible. He idealized these so called primitive which a word nobody uses any more. Nevertheless, if you actually go into why he did this and what he saw the collective unconscious as doing, as an idea, he was finding out something wrong about the west. That's a profoundly humane and, indeed, political project.
