The Fordest Past
In post-Fordism, people take jobs wherever they can. This takes the pressure off of employers because they don't need to pay out things like health care or retirement plans. All employees come and go quite quickly. So it's a kind of like pure wage labor where that is all you're making. And he says this is in part the fault of workers who many of them didn't want to work in a single factory for 40 years and then earn enough for retirement and leave.
