The Foundation in Physics Equations
neoclassical economics emerged as an attempt to create something that you wrote a lot about, actually. There was a failing economist by the name of Leon Walrus in the late 1800s. And while he was kind of flunking out of his career as an academic economist and reconsidering his life, he was reading a physics textbook. In it, he saw the equation for equilibrium systems. That kind of served as this spark where he realized that he could borrow this equilibrium equation and build on it with new theories.
