The Effects of Additives on the Gut
Chris Van Tullichen's Ultra Process Diet was also one in which diversity and complexity of food was reduced. This is the opposite of what's being experienced by the foragers in the Wild Biome Project. What we've added is molecules that we've never encountered before in our evolutionary past. The additives are, again, just one of the many problems. Some of them we think are really doing strange things to our brains. They may be neurotoxic. We're also then feeding our microbiomes, these quite modified starches and oils and the gums.
