LZ Granderson: You highlighted for us the fact that rights talk is contentious. There are a lot of people out there with very well formulated or at least strongly formulated opinions as to the provenance of rights talk, he says. LZ: I was thinking, so to follow up, maybe start with our experience of trying to navigate conversations in which rights appear. And then try to determine why they become so problematized and difficult to navigate within short order. We'll start with a simple example, namely traffic laws.
