The Perennial Asters of Baja, California

The further west you go, the drier the deserts get in the Baja desert. You need four-wheel drive and at least two weeks to make it down there. The crazy thing about these plants is if you just look at the leaves, they look completely different from one another. But then all their flowers look exactly the same.
