The Influence of Greek Philosophy on the Trinity

It was fairly common amongst philosophical circles to know there is one God, but to combine that with a kind of polytheism. And it certainly, we sometimes see in Greek-speaking Jews, like Phylo, Jew of the first century,. He'll talk about the logos of that God through whom the world is made. But Phylo will describe this logos as a deuteros theos, a second God. I think it's pretty clear Phylo was a monotheist, and what he was doing was inflecting Greek philosophical terms towards his own Jewish thought.
