The Biggest Influence on Street Photography?

I was a dummy. I actually took two cameras to DC with me that day and decided I didn't want to lug a lot of gear around. And so I left my camera bag in the floor of my car right by the Mount Vernon Metro station. But, you know, I don't know, I trust people and my car was locked and I had a camera bag. So somebody thought it was a purse and smashed my passenger side window took the camera bag and that was it.
