I will say, am it cultivates a sense of autonomy that a lot of monogamous relationships may not have. People and polyamory can maybe sort of distance themselves from just being a part of the unit and are their own person. I think it actually adds a lot of power and intimacy to your existing relationships if you're in them because you want to be in them. And now in non monogamist relationships, there is kind of more of that sense if like, know, this person is with me, they could be with whoever they wanted to. But they are still choosing to be in relationship with me, even with all that going on.
