The Importance of Conflict Resolution in Design

A big part of the value that designers bring through the table is this conflict resolution and helping to align your cross-functional team on shared mutually beneficial goals. I think that that really comes into play as you're moving into leadership. So maybe not as much for somebody like a junior designer, but certainly something to be thinking about early in your career. When you have those conflicting goals, sometimes you may be able to justify actually taking a hit in one direction or the other if you can't reconcile them.
