The Relationship Between Revolutions and Conservatism
In the early 19th century, let's say it take the 1830 Revolution in France, or even the 1848 Revolution in France. What you see there is two groups fighting against the autocratic reactionary regime of emperors and all this sort of business. Now, the artisan class, the guild class, they don't want capitalism. What they want is to stick states, keep things same, you know, price fixing,. apprentice systems, very little role for the free market.
