The Problem With Low Mortgages
I was one of the only people for years talking about the flip side of these low mortgages. Everybody wanted to talk about how great it was that Americans were able to refinance and get all their mortgages down. And I kept saying, yeah, but what about the lenders? How horrible is it going to be for them when they're stuck with these loans? What we know, it rendered them insolvent. So because of these idiotic regulations that favored government debt over any other kind of debt, they said, hey, this debt is safe. You can pretend your solvent even when you're broke."
