The Dead Sea Scrolls - Is There a Scientific Hypothesis?

The Dead Sea Scrolls were found at a site called Qumran, around the year 200 BC. They form out of a reform movement in Judaism when the Hasmonean Kingdom takes upon themselves the office of King Anne Priest. So they're already kings and then they make themselves the priest. Well, you can't do that biblically. Our text of the Bible were only 1000 AD and it had changed significantly between here and there.
