How to Measure Your Heart Rate Response During a Workout

Measure your heart rate response, your heart rate recovery. Measure how fast it took for your body to get back to 20 beats below its peak. And that would be a good period of time for you to end that work out. In fact, i have used this in my clinical practice with people who are dealing with metabolic resistance or metabolic disfunction. The sympathetic drive is not being counteracted by the pera sympathetic drive. You will see heart rate remain elevated for prolonged periods of time. Often with these people, i used that to essentially tell when the workout were end.
