The Importance of Understanding the Intention of Report
If you have a report with what you're measuring, it's not providing any decisions for the user looking at it. It has no effect on them in their day o day. And i think that's part of the issue. Even if you only have three visuals, even if you at all the tetorial, i would still start. You can allow people to explore so that the opportunity for them to explore in the report widens.
