How to Start PJP Prophylaxis
Prophylaxis for PJP, aka pneumocystis, durovesc pneumonia. When a patient is on 20 milligrams of prednisone equivalent corticosteroids for greater than one month. Within rheumatology, speaking again from sort of anecdotal clinical experience, the threshold also depends on the indication. People with ancovascularitis just get PJP more often and are prophylaxis at much lower doses than people with lupus.
