What's Your Framework for Preventing Bad Actors From Overcoming Technology?
Two responses i can see kind of like emerging. Oneas governing existing technologies or technologies that we see. And then there is this set of flike creating mild, like, robusty defensive technologies. I want to talk a little bit more about my sort of like framework for for all this. There's two separate parts, their deterrence by denial and their deterrence by punishment. For example, given that the technology exists, we try and limit their access to it. So given sort of dna synthesis exists, limiting who has access toIt. And the deterrence is that, given that they have access to it to some degree, can we influence their likelihood to employ this technology?
