The History of Laser Fusion
In August of 2021, this experiment in the US at the same lab that Knuckles was working at managed to get to 70%. So that is pretty close and I know it sounds like it's still a way off, but it's 25 times greater than what they achieved in 2018. In the last 10 years, it's gone up by a factor of a thousand. The history of fusion is littered with both triumph and humiliation. Because we haven't cracked it yet, it's one of those technologies that people get very, very excited about - which leads to lots of myths and bad science as well.
