Whiteness Is the Eradication of Culture in Exchange for Privilege

The episode is titled "Bastards" and airs at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 17. The show was canceled in the 1950s after a bar raid led to patrons being forced to testify against each other or go to jail themselves. A woman claimed that she'd been drinking here since she was 13 but it closed as soon as they learned she was gay. After this scare, one of the bartenders got six months for serving beard and minors; another man got five years for supplying marijuana to a minor. So 10 times the sentence and the bars liquor license was revoked and the whole thing shut down.
