The Promise of Bitcoin

I like that idea of the promise of Bitcoin. And part of how I often explain it is I say Bitcoin gives us assurances that the fiat banking system could never give us. The gold, obviously the gold, you know, standard for what it was could never provide the same kind of assurances. Whereas Bitcoin doesn't even know that we're human. To it, all that it cares about is the private key and there's no way its protocol can ever violate itself.
