picture post wasn't tom hopkinson's invention. It was sold as an to edward holton by stepan lorant, a brilliant and quixotic jewish guy. And i think one of the really striking things about picture post was that they were able to get practically anybody they wanted to write for it. You couldn't go into a house in great britain on any job, whether it was a road mender's cottage or a lord's castle, but you didn't see picture postd on the table somewhere. I mean, you know, was a prodigious, as well as a popular publication.
