The Challenges of Machine Learning
The way machine learning works is that you have, ah, let's say clinical characteristics. And so you test which of those hundred things, are there ten that kind of explain most of the behavior? Then you build that model based on a retrospective analysis of a subset of the trial. So basically, you have a hundred patients, youou build a model in 70 of them, and then test it in the remaining 30.
