In economics, the term Lou died is an insult. This is what Larry Summers used infamously against Raghurajan in 2006. And so every time you are taking a position that is not optimistic about technology, you run the risk of being labeled as a Lou died. Drown and Simon Johnson flirt with the idea that you need to somehow stop the machines or the AI or the technology. It's really interesting just to contemplate the idea that maybe it's not inevitable.
