Are You a Utopian Thinker?
I don't, I think we should be cautious of idealizing community as some kind of naturally good place or source of authority. Short-term rentals should not exist. They're a blight on society. And every city should have a small proportion of short-term rentals that's run by municipal authority. If you wanted my personal favorite, that which I'm kind of most passionate about, it would be the idea of integrating a short-term rental service into a larger public authority that had jurisdiction over housing.
