Professor Kotlakov says that the best asset class is paying off your debts. Even in a low interest rate environment, there is an argument to be made in favor of paying off a low, fixed rate loan such as a mortgage or student loan. He states that paying off your debt will still get you a better return than ta bills or long term bonds.
