I Just Can't Face the News Anymore

I know so many people who just I just can't face the news you know. It's because it's gone on for so long this kind of hysteria and also we can't forget that social media has all been supercharged by five or six news cycles a day. You know in the old days I used to imagine this world happening in London where all the interesting people were doing fantastic things around at each other's houses. Now you can just see that they're sitting there tweeting about strictly and I think there's something of the mystique has gone. But I suppose what it's also done though is it's brought popular culture and politics closer together which may be a good thing.
