The first actual marriage that did happen, eventually, in a balloon was in 18 74. It was mary elizabeth walsh and charles m colton. They got married on top of the p t. Barnum manhattan hypnodrome. One of the people who was on there, who was basically barnum's balloo guy, was called washington harrison donaldson. And he used to do high wire racks and so on in them.
